I made a pot of tea for us. It is a wonderful red color, the picture doesn't do it justice. I found some loose tea called "Jamaican Tea" at a local store. I know it as Hibiscus Tea. Have you tried it?
While at the store I bought some mushrooms. Dinner last night was mushroom burgers. Mushrooms fried with onions, cheddar cheese and some romaine lettuce.
Put a few Bread and Butter pickles on the plate and I'm happy. I'm not a vegetarian but I find myself eating less and less meat and more and more vegetables.
My tastes have changed over the years, have yours?
Yummy, your burgers sound great! My tastes have changed a lot in the past years. Happy T day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI love the red you got from the Hibiscus tea. Yes, I bought a whole pound of loose leaf Hibiscus tea, both to drink and to dye fabric with. Yours is lovelier than any I could show because of the container you placed it in.
ReplyDeleteThat mushroom burger sounds fabulous. I gave up meat several years ago, but I find I have started to gain weight because I don't eat the right kind of veggies. I think this looks absolutely fabulous. I bet it tasted great, too.
Thanks for sharing your mushroom burger and your hibiscus tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Darla. I'm glad you are here, and you are NEVER too late for T.
Your link went to MY blog, so I added the correct link.
ReplyDeleteoh the food looks sooo good I love mushroom burgers. and thank you for the tea yes I have drank that before and love it
ReplyDeleteMmm, I'm coming over to yours this T Day as I've never tried hibiscus tea and I'd love to try it and also ones of those delicious looking sandwiches too - yum! 😉. Wishing you a very Happy T Day! J 😊
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves hibiscus tea, and it's so pretty in the pot and cup :) The mushroom burger looks delicious. Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThe tea looks delicious and so did your mushroom burger.
ReplyDeleteI eat less meat these days as well and enjoy eating more vegetables.
Happy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx
I don't mind going meatless once in a while but i do love my meat...it all comes down to taste... If a meatless dish can taste as good as one with meat then i'm all for it.. :) Happy T day! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteI love hibiscus tea. And the red color is just gorgeous. happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteA wonderful colour, that tea. but you say it was even deeper red. Wow!!!! I hardly ever eat meat, we were vegetarian for years and I never got in the habit of it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not vegetarian either, Darla, but your mushrrom burger looks delicious! Yes, my tastes have changed over the years too. Partly that's because so many more foods are now available anywhere you go ... things I'd never heard of as a child including many wonderful ethnic dishes.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
