Neighborhood walk - 10/15/15

Out for another walk on my 4th St. shopping route.  Window shopping for me because I go walking early.  The time of day makes it difficult to photograph windows though due to reflections.  I think you will get the idea though.

Fall colors are everywhere, the cross body bag still rules.

Boots in abundance.  Boots as a fashion statement I think because we rarely have weather that requires boots.

I found these pretty hilarious.  Not sure you can make them out, I was confused at first.  They are "fur" suitcases I guess.  Much too large for a purse.  That's a shaggy one on the upper left and a black one you can barely see on the upper right.  I tried to find a label that showed a price but they were all turned so you couldn't see.  These are in a very pricey store tho.

So what are you buying for fall?  Surely you need a furry suitcase to put it in.

  1. I bought 2 cross body bags lol. My black and brown purses bit the dust after long years of service, so I replaced them. I'm not buying anything I don't actively need though. It's part of my attempt to make the Life-Changing Magic of Tidying book work for me.

The pants in the top photo look comfortable.

  3. Weeellllll, there isn't enough $$ left, after hitting a sale at Michael's yesterday.......so I won't be buying a furry suitcase! LOL Talk about ugly!

  4. Furry suitcases. All I can think of is how much lint (and worse) one would pick up in transit on an airline in the luggage hold...!

  5. A fur suitcase! Well, I suppose it would get attention....

  7. He he, funny furry suitcases - what next!? Can you imagine how that would fare in the cargo hold of a plane... I love the stripe top in the first picture, very nice.

  8. It is interesting to see fall wear in places which have about the same weather degrees year around. Do people actually change their wardrobe? I do understand changing some colors. though..

  9. I suspect those furry suitcases would look terrible after a couple of trips! Fake fur doesn't hold up to cleaning well, and those would sop up all sorts of unpleasantness.

I usually buy Halloween shirts & socks this time of year, but MuleWart doesn't have any this year. Those are part of my regular wardrobe. :-(

  10. All I could think of was what a furry overnight bag would look like after being out in the rain or sleet! They sell fashion statement boots up here, too, but most people wear something more practical for the ice and snow with warmth and rubber soles--LOL! I have worn a cross-body bag since the mid-60s. Only they didn't call them that back then. They were just shoulder bags, but I always wore mine over my head because I liked my arms free and they always slid off my shoulder anyways. I had a favorite big tapestry bag with a yarn handle. Do you remember when those were popular? Fun to see these. :)
