There is a tea party going on at Altered Book Lover. You need to bring a drink and your latest news. Join me there.
My drink is fresh squeezed orange juice. DH fixed it for me from oranges he picked from our yard. Can't get much fresher.
We also have a really heavy crop of tangerines this year. So tangerine juice will be next on the menu.
While he's been busy witht he citrus, I just finished up a pair of socks for him. Not the most exciting color blend but the yarn is super soft and warm. We still have a few cool days to come here in No. CA.
Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday.
so awesome your own fresh citrus-do you freeze or can any of it? the socks are lovely-Happy T Kathy
ReplyDeleteFresh-squeezed oj! What a treat! Happy T Tuesday
ReplyDeleteI have friends in LA who have a lemon and an orange tree. Avocado tree, too. I am always spoiled when I visit them and get free oranges and lemons, as well as wonderful avocados. Their father started the avocado tree from a seed and it has grown tall (maybe 15 - 20 ft). Your orange juice looks very fresh and very, very healthy. Thanks for sharing your bumper crop of oranges and tangerines with us for T this Tuesday, dear Darla.
ReplyDeleteI really like the color of those socks. Soft is always good, too. You make beautiful socks, dear.
Not sure if you have them in SF, but Tuesday Morning is the store where I have found some beautiful napkins.
That is an amazing yarn, with the colour change. Did you have to use two balls of yarn to get the socks identical? I have also just finished a pair of socks. I love sock knitting. I knit from the toe up and use a circular needle.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Fresh OJ sounds sooooo good. Socks, the best when they are hand made. Have a great day today.
ReplyDeleteHere in the midwest, fresh-squeezed orange juice is rare because oranges do not grow on trees, they come from a supermarket. Lucky you!

Hmmmm, fresh juice! I found a high quality juice machine from KRUPS in the street, but, ohhhh, so much work to clean it. It must be from the 1970´s - looks cool, but so far I made juice only twice.
ReplyDeleteI put away the woolen socks, I´m optimistic Spring is really here!.
Have a nice T-Day
fresh juices are the best!! Love the socks you made- they look so soft and warm. happy T day!
ReplyDeleteFreshly squeezed orange juice is the best, and if it's from fruit in your garden even better! Lovely socks - I enjoy knitting socks as well and do it often. I like the hues in the yarn.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors on your socks! So pretty. And those tangerines are gorgeous. The fresh squeezed juice sounds delicious. YUM!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
Your so lucky to have fresh oranges and tangerines. Your juice looks really good, and there is nothing better than fresh oj. And nice socks too. You did a great job. I hope it was a great T day and have a wonderful week. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! Fresh orange juice from your own yard! Wow! Thanks for sharing with us today for the t party.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous! Oranges in your yard and fab knitting! Wow. Super fun! Happy T-day!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have fresh oranges and tangerines growing in your garden. We are quite excited as our first ever lemon tree has produced about 10 nice golden lemons this week. So good for us all. Those sox look very cosy, and must be really nice to wear. I have never even seen hand knitted sox in real life. Much too hot here!
ReplyDeleteFresh squeezed is the best, but to be able to pick your own oranges, that's got to be the blue ribbon. I never would have guess the socks were hand-made. Awesome. Happy T Day
