Drinking tea helps. Coming here to visit with friends and see what everyone is doing helps.
We have a couple of apple trees on our river property. We picked a lot and have told a couple neighbors to help themselves.
I made applesauce and baked an apple pie. You can see we also harvested some tomatoes too. Makes me realize that fall is coming soon..
Now that you've heard from me, lets go to the Altered Book Lover blog. I am getting a second cup of tea and settling down to visit.
WOW, Darla. Now I'm hungry. Your pie looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI have been watching the wildfires and worrying about you. I'm glad your river home is safe, even though I've also heard that all of San Francisco has been warned to stay inside due to the air quality.
Thanks for sharing that postcard and your tomatoes, apples, and apple pie with us for T this Tuesday.
Yes, "you" are in our German news with the fires. Scary.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, apple pie! My sweet tooth wakes up!
I don´t think this year neighbours will be able to share apples, we had such weird weather they didn´t grow properly (the apples, dunno about the neighbours, haaaaa....).
Yes. Nononono. I don´t want summer to end! We had but weeks!
To tea and a happy T-day to you!
Apple pie looks very good to me.
ReplyDeleteI've been horrified at the double nightmare of people who have to flee the fires and also try to stay out of contagious places where they could be exposed to the virus. What a nightmare! The destruction of the Big Basin Redwoods is also very depressing. I wish you well!
Stay safe... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Love that postcard - we really enjoy our cup of tea every afternoon around 4.00. I wish we had an apple tree, but it is too hot here to grow them. However, I buy apples every week - that apple pie looks soooo good, you are encouraging me to bake one :) I do hope the fires stay away, and that we don't have another Summer of fires like the last one. Be safe.
ReplyDeleteI love the postcard! I have been reading about all the fires out west Yellowstone park also. so awesome you have fruit trees. Your pie looks delish-I used to can up allot of applesauce. I am so ready for fall this year as are extremely dry here too which could cause fires as well. Happy T wishes Kathy
ReplyDeleteThat pie looks gorgeous and I bet it tastes really good too Darla. Lucky you to have those fruit producing apple trees. And nice postcard too. It is perfect for T. Hope you have a wonderful T day. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI pray you stay safe making goodies out of your beautiful apples. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great postcard! And the pie--made from your own apples!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous postcard! Wow, you have a great crop of apples and your pie looks so delicious, I would happily have a slice with my cuppa today 😀. Wishing you a very happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing news about the wildfires and about how far the smoke is spreading :(
ReplyDeleteYour apple pie looks delicious! Happy T Tuesday
Lovely apples and tomatoes. You had a good harvest. Sorry to hear about the air quality and smoke. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
I love that you share the harvest with neighbors...we have some that do the same for us as far as apples go.
ReplyDeleteThe fires are horrible to hear about. I noticed that our sunset is more orange like there is smoke in the air. Likely not from as far as CA.
Stay safe in all areas.
Happy T day!
Your pie looks delicious ~ So nice to have a bumper crop to be able to offer neighbors some too ~ I'm sorry to hear about the fires, yes tea helps with a lot ~ Blessings on the rest of your week
ReplyDeleteOh, yum! Your apple pie looks delicious! Apples are the best part of fall. I love your tea postcard.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
Your pie looks amazing. As I was reading this Mr. M. came into the room and saw the pie. He licked his lips and said, "I could go for that pie right now." Glad you got tomatoes. It is so cold here that my bumper crop of toms are not turning red. I have them wrapped but may need to bring them inside. They are in containers. Enjoy your applesauce and have nice evening.

Your apple pie looks great. You're lucky to have apples growing on your property. Sorry to hear about the wild fires. Those are scary. Happy Belated T-Day!
ReplyDeleteThat apple pie looks delicious! My mouth waters.
ReplyDeleteBush fires are so scary. We get them here in Spain and we had them when I lived in Italy. Frightening. I hope you will be safe.
I love that postcard!
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Hope the fires are out soon. Cool to have your own apple trees. That pie looks spectacular. Happy T Day
