Hello friends,
The fall and winter holidays are coming up fast. I wonder if
anyone is thinking along those lines as they create their art. Lets go to the Altered Book Lover blog and find out. Elizabeth always has something good going on and everyone there contributes to Tea Stands for Tuesday. It is lots of fun.
I am getting a second cup of tea and then I'm settling down to gather some ideas for knitting gifts.
Looks like a great book. It is the perfect time to start holiday crafting.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
I have a friend that made around 6 quilts for christmas gifts already. I don't knit but looks like a nice book. Happy T wishes Kathy
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who makes shawls who would love that book, and the one in front looks like something anyone, even a person who doesn't knit, might enjoy reading. It's lovely to see you will be reading them with your tea, too, dear Darla. Thanks for sharing these books and your tea with us for T this almost Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteOh, my knitting days are long over, but my Hubby´s late Granma knitted the most beautiful socks of rests - I treasure them so much!
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day!
I have several shawls that my mother-in-law crocheted years ago. They last forever. I've never learned to do anything like that, though. I hope yours find good homes!

Those knitting magazines / books look like they'll have some good ideas for gifts to make. I've been meaning to work on Halloween artwork, but the storm clean up occupied my time. This year, Halloween is on a Saturday AND it is a Full Moon! (That only happens every 18 to 19 years.) Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteThat book looks very interesting! Happy September.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I haven't given Christmas gifts and cards a thought. Thanks for the wake up call, Darla.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
Enjoy your tea and your future knitting projects ~
ReplyDeleteSeptember is here which always makes me think of autumn/fall, in fact my art today features autumnal leaves and says "It's Fall", and I'm even sharing pumpkin roll (grin!). Can't wait to see your knitted creations 😁. Wishing you a very Happy T Tuesday! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI never learned to knit, but my friends who knit claim it as a soothing activity. That sounds nice right now :) Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, those holidays are starting to come to mind. I still need to dig out my yarn though to start some mittens. Hope it was a great T day Darla, and Happy September. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWell done you! I haven't knitted for years! I used to love it and made many a nice thing.
ReplyDeleteThe book looks interesting for beginners.
Happy belated T-Day (Yes, I'm late again as per usual. Tuesday is just a very busy day and I spend the whole of Wednesday catching up)
Lisca
I wasn't thinking about Christmas just yet but I suppose should be. I hope you found something suitable! Belated happy T day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteFun! I'm working on crocheting a pincushion for my Young One as she's taking an interest in sewing and fiber arts. Happy T Day.
