Tea Stands for Tuesday 7/21/2020

We were once again at the river last week.  We are still SIP, we go out the door of one house and in the door at the other.  We get gas and groceries ahead of time during early morning hours when crowds are thin.

I really like this rooster teapot.   In truth it looks more like a watering can to me but they say it is a teapot and there is a teacup there under the spout.

Our Granny Smith apple trees are producing lots of apples this year.  I brought these back with us.  I'll be making apple pie and some apple butter.  I will be busy!  I told a neighbor there to pick some and pass them around.  I don't want any to go to waste.

I'm going to pour myself a cup of tea and then I'm off to visit the tea party at Elizabeth's.  I'm happy I have internet again so I can do that.

  1. Hi Darla, glad you have the internet again-we don't have many friends so the internet is my connection to people every day.
I love your rooster! I think it looks like a watering can too-would be fun to use that way-or for tea.
do you make your apple butter in a crock pot? Happy T hugs Kathy

    2. Oops - too many spelling errors. Would you believe I don't own a crock pot? It would be handy in this case though.

  4. I agree with the others that the teapot looks more like a watering can. Regardless, it is a beauty.

You are going to be busy making apple butter and a pie. I don't envy you peeling all those apples. Thanks for sharing your teapot and apples with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.

  5. Oh, I really like the rooster teapot too Darla. Too bad, I checked and it is sold out :) I once had a considerable collection of chicken ornaments, but have reduced it to a few now. But this guy is a winner!

  6. Granny Smith apples are the best! They are good raw or cooked, so you are lucky to have a good supply. The teapot is very amusing.

  7. I am with you about the teapot. Love it a lot but it does look like a watering can. Maybe it is smaller. And I am impressed with your apples. I’ve never known anyone to grow Granny Smith. Yum. Have a super T day. Hugs Erika

  9. The rooster tea pot/kettle is delightful. I think it must be deliberately made to look like a watering can for a garden theme. Cool!

Your own apples! What a treat :)

  11. Yum! Apple butter and Apple pie are a favorite in our house. How fun that you can pick the apples right off your tree. We have to go to the orchard to pick. Enjoy your goodies.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  13. At first I thought the teapot was a water can. Either way it is very cute. Granny Smith apples are my favorite. I like to eat them out of hand besides using in pies. Take care and Happy T Day

  14. That tea pot or watering can is very cute, Darla. If there's no lid for it, it's definitely a watering can, right? Beautiful apples!

    Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen

  15. That rooster is fabulous, I love it's rustic charm! Wow, so many apples too 😀. Nothing like homegrown apples, we have three apple trees in our garden and as I make an apple cobbler for my hubby every week they are always welcome ...lol 😀. Take care and Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x

  16. Love your rooster teapot. But I agree, it looks more like a watering can, probably because of what it is made of. Happy T Day!
