Tea Stands for Tuesday 4/9/19

The weather is warming up a bit.  My studio area has no heat so I don't spend a lot of time there in the winter.  It is a pleasure to be out there once again.

This is the beginning of... something.  I'm recycling a wooden box, starting by painting it.   I know it is going to be a shadow box kind of assemblage.  I have the idea, I have some bits and pieces set aside for the interior construction.  At this point though it is just me painting the box  (And drinking my water, LOL!)  Layers of paper will go on next I think.

I really want to get to what I consider the fun stuff.  The setting up of the pieces.

You should join me for tea at Elizabeth's blog.  I'll bet her party guests will have some finished things to show you.

  3. My craft doesn’t have any heat either although being in Spain means it’s not often too cold, usually when it’s raining.
Looking forward to seeing your shadow box when it’s finished
    Happy T day

  7. Love the idea of an assemblage coming from that box. I'm also one who had nothing finished to show today! But it sounds like this is going to be something I will want to see when it's finished. Thanks for sharing your water and beginning of an assemblage with us for T this Tuesday. Hope you'll show more next week, too, dear Darla. BTW, my studio freezes in winter and is hotter than Hades in the summer. Spring and autumn are when I do my best work.

  13. Happy belated T day! I don't heat the bedroom I have my studio in so I know what you mean about the cold. I usually have an electric heater next to me in the winter, but I am ready to put it away. I hope! Hugs-Erika
