I'm drinking water.
Contemplating the river
Oh my!
Have a look.....
There are monsters in the river. One of them is kissing the bridge. Our property starts where the bridge touches down at the right of this photo. We are at the "monitor" flood stage and have been for a few days.
Here's a FB posting from a bar/restaurant across the river from us. The water is about to their front door.
Hope you are having a good day wherever you are... and as they say in this part of the world...
KEEP YOUR TOES DRY!
I'm off to visit Elizabeth and those who post there.
Here's hoping your water levels drop soon. It must be a terrible worry this time of year. I suppose that makes the enjoyment of living near a river that much richer when it's dry.
ReplyDeleteOh no I hope you do not get flooded-that would be awful
ReplyDeletestay safe-Happy T hugs Kathy
Oh I hope those water levels drop-yikes! I guess that is the main downfall of living on the edge of any waters. Looks pretty though. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteSending prayers that the water lowers!
ReplyDeleteI hope you stay dry and safe-will be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful T Day
Love Chrissie xx
I hope y'all stay safe and above the water's rise. So much rain! Happy T Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteKeep safe that sounds scary, it always looks great to be near the water but nowadays with so much rain not so much.
ReplyDeleteTake care

Hope the water level drops so we can keep our toes dry 😁. Take care and wishing you a happy T Day! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteOh My! that river is running high! It has been so long I almost don't recognize the rivers and canals around here, with water in them. But it is nice. I can see the mountains from my patio and have enjoyed seeing them with snow on them. We haven't gotten near the rain or snow as your area, being so much further south.
ReplyDeleteYOU keep YOUR toes dry sweetie!
Happy T-day
I hope it doesn't flood your house. Ugh. Happy T-Day...
ReplyDeleteWhen it rains, it pours. Too bad it has to come all at once, but it's really good for your water problem in CA. Maybe you will be taken off the red or endangered water list this spring.
ReplyDeleteYes, I can see this post is all about the water: water you drink, water near your bridge, and water near your doorsteps. I hope you keep safe and have a levy or are high above water level. Thanks for sharing your photos and your water with us for T this Tuesday. Please keep your feet dry and safe, too!
Wow! I am guessing you live in a flood zone. Hopefully the water won't reach your front door. Water is a gorgeous thing but can do so much damage. I hope that you, your home and your family stay dry.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
Oh I do hope the water levels don't rise, that river looks full and fast flowing.
ReplyDeleteStay safe
Happy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx
Holy cow! That river is scary! Stay safe and I hope it recedes quickly. Happy a little late T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteOh my that looks close to you Darla. I hope you and your house stay high and dry and the floods pass soon. Despite the ongoing heat, we have also had floods in North Queensland recently - our climate seems very similar to California in many ways. Be safe and dry :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope the water levels go down soon. That must be very frightening.
ReplyDeleteStay safe,
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
Oh goodness! I hope you will be okay and the water doesn't get any higher!
ReplyDeleteThat looks VERY high! Hope it goes down soon! Belated Happy T Day! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteWow! Hope all goes well for you. We are snowbound, but not for long. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm late to T this week, Darla. So I hope by now the water is already receding. It's so wonderful living close to water (we do too) - until it isn't. Sending positive thoughts for you and all of your neighbors and neighboring businesses.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day! Eileen xx
I hope your property wasn't flooded. We had some serious flooding here, but the dry last week helping. Now we're in for more rain - at least that's what the forecast says. Stay dry!
