Tea Stands for Tuesday - 3/1/16

It is a good thing Tea Tuesday comes around once a week.  I've been trying to blog more frequently but sometimes words and ideas don't come.  I can always count on Tuesday over at Elizabeth's blog.  Thanks for hosting the party Elizabeth.

I've been doing a bit of knitting every day.  This morning I'm drinking Indian black tea and working on the leg of a sock.  See the red needle holder at the bottom of the picture?  One of my favorite knitting tools, secures the knitting on the double pointed needles when you aren't working.

Here's a peek at my knitting bag.  Fabric with a zip closure and lots of pockets inside.  Very handy.  Can you tell it is stuffed with something?  There are two unfinished projects in there.  Yes, two.  One of these days I will finish them.  Stay tuned.

Hope everyone is enjoying their tea (or favorite drink) this morning.

  2. I admit if I weren't already awake, that knitting bag would have my full attention. The colors and pattern are so vivid and distinct. At least it would never get lost in a crowd!

I've never seen a holder like that before, but it looks like something a knitter might need. Thanks for sharing it, and your tea with us for T this Tuesday. Keep knitting away, dear Darla because we miss you when you're offline.

  3. Wow, with knitting all my life, I have never seen a needle holder like that. It looks like something you may have owned for awhile since I have never seen anything like it in a store. Love the colorful knitting bag!

I finished the two scarves I was working on, mainly because it was getting warmer and I didn't want to leave them for next year.

One of these days, I will be brave enough to try socks! Happy T Day!

  4. What a cool knitting device you have. I've been knitting for years and have never seen one of those, but I could use one for sure. And what a pretty bag. Happy T Day. :)

  5. Mornin' Darla! What a beautiful striping yarn for the socks! The little keeper is adorable - I've not had any stitches come off my double-point needles, but I like the idea. Your knitting bag is very pretty. You're not likely to leave it by your chair at the knit shop gathering. Hope your Tuesday tea is delicious.

  12. I love that red needle holder. I've never seen those, but then I haven't knitted for decades since I injured my left arm in 1993. I miss it sometimes. You do beautiful work, BTW. Happy T-Day! :)

  13. I've never seen an needle holder like that - it looks nifty. I use holders you can put at the end of the needles, they look like little (green) sheep and are used for those dpn's. Your knitting bag is lovely. I'm still looking for a good one since mine is too small.
