Second on the Second - 3/2/16

Inspiration Avenue Challenge 1/10/13

The theme for the challenge at Inspiration Avenue this week is POPPIES.  I like poppies a lot and have sketched or painted a few.

on 8 x 10 canvas board


I enjoy working with layers of torn pieces of paper, stacking them up to create some depth and texture on the canvas.   The texture doesn't really show up in a photo all that well though.

I had some cards printed from this image.  The original now hangs on a wall in my daughters house

    I remember this one, Darla. It was one of my favorite posts, especially since your other blog no longer works. These poppies are a fav of mine, too. Beautiful art and great talent all rolled into one. Thanks for sharing this for your Second look on the 2nd.
