Tea Stands for Tuesday - 10-19-21

I'm running late but it is still Tuesday where I live so I have time to join the tea party at Elixabeth's.  If you haven't visited the party before here is the link.

I have plenty of tea.  This morning I'm drinking Lady Grey.  One of my favorites.

As long as I don't care if my house is clean, I think I'll play.  Did you play with paperdolls when you were a child.  I did.  One of my favorite things to do.  I believe if you click on the image and save it then you can print a page of Halloween paperdolls for yourself.

Enjoy a cozy autumn day.

  4. I love your tea inspired sentiment. My house is never clean enough for my standards. I always find something needs cleaning. But of course, I will gladly have either tea or coffee for my guests.

I was a tomboy when I was young. Therefore, I never played with paper dolls. However, I would love to play with these today, Darla. Thanks for sharing your tea inspired sentiment and your paper doll with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.

  5. Thank you for the paper dolls. I used to love them. We would cut out Betsy McCall paper dolls every month out of McCalls magazine. Love that slogan! I definitely have plenty of tea. Lady Grey is my favorite, too. Happy T Day.

  6. I loved paper dolls as a kid. These are a great page of them Darla. And now that I am retired my house is messier than when I worked. Too many other fun things to do. Hope you had a wonderful T day Darla and a happy week ahead. Hugs-Erika

  7. How sweet that so many of us have fond memories of paper dolls. My favorite set was the Coronation, with Queen Elizabeth and her royal robes and so on. In my mind’s eye I can see the figures of the Queen, Prince Charles, and Princess Anne.

  8. Darla I loved paper dolls, I would play with them for hours.
Well I would rather craft than clean but luckily my craft room isn’t in the villa so any mess I make in there can’t be seen,
    Have a good week

  9. I agree on the best friends and tea, except my daughter does actually have a best friend who is all about an exceptionally clean house and will give her a very hard time if hers is not spotless. Love the paper dolls. My Mother could draw a fab paper doll and probably drew me hundreds of them. She could have been an illustrator. Happy T-day!!!

  11. Lady Gray tea sounds good!
I used to play with and make my own paper dolls when I was little. I loved the historical paper doll books that came with all the outfits. I had one for Shirley Temple, Scarlett O'Hara, and Jackie Kennedy.
Adorable Kewpie doll above. Growing up I always wanted a Kewpie doll.
    Thanks for sharing the dolls.
    Happy Belated Tea Day,
    Kate

  12. We were introduced to paper dolls by my mother when we were little. She talked about how she stored them in her drawer and how she dressed them. We did play with them some but it didn't last over time. It's a fond memory, though. Thanks for bringing it back to me.

  16. My house isn't clean and I don't have tea either... But I can offer coffee and a very good selection of wine.
Yes, I did play with paper dolls as a child. I actually cut the models out of catalogs and then "dressed" them with other displayed clothes in the catalog/magazine. It was fun, but the dolls of course weren't very sturdy.
