Hello everyone. Today's Tea post is full of surprising and interesting things. All new to me.
Have you ever heard of a Tea Cup Holster? What fun.
Here's an idea of how you might wear it,
Oh yes, I want one. I will have to think of an occasion that makes one absolutely necessary. Suggestions? (I don't have links for the photos )
While we were at the River House I spotted something yellow from a distance. What is that? Has an alien landed in our palm tree?
Our female Sago Palm blossomed. Reading about it I found that the plants only blossom after about 10 years of age and then only blossom once every 3 to 5 years. A first for us. We are quite excited about it.
That's it for my interesting week. I hope you found some nice surprises along the way too. I'm going to visit Elizabeth and find out what everyone has been doing.
This was a very interesting post that I enjoyed-Have never seen a holster for a tea cup and plate-pretty cool and congrats on the flower for your Palm-very fun! Happy T wishes
ReplyDeleteHa ha. That tea cup holster is a riot. I guess if you are walking to a friend's house and want to show them a pretty cup or use your own cup for tea, this holster is perfect. I think it is a great T day find. Have a super T day and week Darla. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletea very interesting post. Never heard of or saw a tea cup holster- quite unique. And how special to have that unusual palm blossom- very cool! Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteOK, you piqued my curiosity and I googled "tea cup holster" and discovered that it's a steampunk thing. I never cease to be amazed at the off-beat stuff they associate with steampunk. It's all made up and doesn't have much to do with any historic stuff. Everyone's entitled to a fantasy of some sort, I guess.

A tea cup holster would be great for those who want to be sure their cup and saucer don't get broken when they are on their way to your house. Quirky and unusual, I loved this. It was so fun.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the sago palm blooming. I've never seen one bloom and had no idea they did. Thanks for sharing your cup holder and your sago palm bloom with us for T this almost Tuesday.
Love the holster, fun idea! Can you "eat" the Sago? How does it taste like, if so?
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day!
Wow - I want a tea cup holster too! Very fun and interesting. Also love your blooming palm - it is beautiful! Great post and happy T-Day, Darla.

ReplyDeleteOh wow what an interesting flower on the tree, lucky you spotted it seeing as it doesn’t happen every year.
ReplyDeleteI love the holster, my grandma would have loved one as she hated drinking out of thick cups, she always had a delicate China cup and saucer
Happy T Day

ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
I would chip that cup before I had a chance to use it, but what a fun idea. Wearing it would be worth the looks I'd get even if I didn't actually use it lol
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the bloom. Happy T Tuesday!
Never heard of a tea holster! How wild!
