'Cream Tea For two' By Mani Parkes
Enjoy your tea, I will try to get around to see what everyone is doing these days.
Next time I will make a little something to go with my tea.
Cheesecake Crescent Rolls
2 cans of Pillsbury Crescent rolls
2 8oz packages cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup butter, melted
Cinnamon
Sugar
Unroll and spread 1 of the cans of crescent rolls on the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish (or 8 x 8 if you want to cut the recipe in half).
Combine softened cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla. Spread over crescent roll layer. Unroll and layer remaining crescent rolls over cream cheese layer. Melt your butter and spread over top of crescent rolls. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar. Bake for 20-30 minutes in 350F oven until bubbly and slightly browned.
Drizzle with a little honey if you like. Let cool a bit, slice and eat.

Made my mouth water just to read about the recipe, Darla. Gonna give it a try after I get some crescent rolls from the store. Have a lovely Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see you at T, Darla. The painting is charming. Thank you for the recipe. I wish I could get crescent rolls here. The other convenience food I really miss is prepared pie crusts. lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
What a sweet image ~ your recipe sounds wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely painting. I love Mani Parkes. She paints such typical British scenes. This looks like it is somewhere in Cornwall, looking at the harbour. And it is so sweet how the lady in the picture holds hands with the gent as well as the dog. It certainly made my palate ache for cream tea.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the recipe. I had to look up 'crescent rolls' as I am not familiar with them. I have discovered they are what we call 'croissents'.
You most probably know that cream teas in the UK consist of English scones, which I think you call 'biscuits', halved and spread with thick clotted cream and then jam. Yumm!
Wishing you a very happy T-Day,
Hugs (These ones are allowed, but oh I so crave real hugs),
Lisca
I love that painting! And those crescent rolls would be the perfect addition to any tea party.
