Tea Stands For Tuesday 3/23/20

How is everyone this morning?  Are you keeping busy?  Is your community sheltering in place?  I hope everyone is well.

I've been knitting.  That seems to be keeping my hands occupied and my mind engaged.  This is a hat I'm working on.  The pattern is called Fog City - on Ravelry if you are interested.

It is time for me to visit Elizabeth's blog and try to catch up with everyone there.  Won't you join me?

  1. Your hat is a lovely colour and I like the pattern, I haven’t done any knitting for years, since our boys decided they were too old for hand knitted jumpers, then it all came back into fashion , ha,ha,. My Mum always used to knit watching TV, she could do complicated patterns even while watching, my Dad said some times it drove him mad hearing the click, click, clicking of the needles, good job they aren’t around to be in lockdown, Mum would have knitted a whole wardrobe full of knits.
Have a good week, keep safe

  4. Love the pattern of your hat, Darla. Glad you're keeping safe. We are, too. I'm catching up on UFOs - an ancient cross stitch table runner for Easter - half finished probably 15 or more years ago. Yesterday...(drum roll) one more chick added. Cooking is another thing we're doing more of. Glad you're safe and well.

  8. That's a pretty pattern :) Yes, we're supposed to stay home except for essentials beginning at midnight tonight. I was pretty much doing that anyway. I'll still grocery shop every week. Take care! Happy T Tuesday :)

  9. Wow, Darla. That is a beautiful pattern. I am super impressed that you are able to change colors so easily. It's going to make a great hat. And yes, it will help while you are on lock down.

That's a lovely tea set, too. Glad you found it to share with us, along with your knitting for T this Tuesday, dear friend.

  12. What a pretty hat!
We are self-isolating. The governor hasn't said anything we know of. People and companies and schools are just doing it on their own. Seems so disorganized and not coordinated across the states.
    Stay safe! :)

  13. Hello there Darla, what gorgeous knitting you are doing. It looks so complex! We are self-isolating too, seems only sensible. The virus is spreading rapidly in our city and state. Take care.

  14. Great looking hat and way to keep busy, to keep your mind from focusing on the stress factors. I'm sheltering in place except for when I have to go out for groceries (very limited need to do that for the time being), etc.

  16. Oh what a beautiful hat! I love the pattern. It reminds me of a norwegian pullover I knitted many years ago, with 'greasy' wool so I could wear it outdoors.
    Stay safe dear friend,
    Happy (belated) T-Day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca
