Today's bake

Up early this morning so decided to bake cranberry walnut muffins  for breakfast.

I know many of you are getting things ready for tomorrow's big day.  We'll be with family so I don't have a whole lot to do.  It is kind of nice after years of cooking the turkey and hosting the party.  I'll miss the leftovers though.  How about you?  Doing it all?  Going out?

  1. We're having a quiet at-home Thanksgiving, too. Kim works tomorrow and will come here after work for a less-is-more Thanksgiving - turkey, stuffing, mashed/gravy, salad, cranberry sauce, etc.

  2. it is just the two of us (no children) we are invited over for dinner by friends that live near our woods home-about an hours drive-it is nice to be with people on Thanksgiving-before retirement when we lived in northern Illinois, I would host a feast for friends that had no families either. I did pick up a small turkey and will cook it up for us over the weekend

  3. Those muffins look tasty. I'm trying out a new-to-me recipe for a frozen cranberry pie. We'll be at home with 2 of our 3 kids here. I'm thawing a frozen turkey breast to cook tomorrow, and my daughter is bringing dressing and apple pie. I bought a sweet potato pie for the hubby. I'll make deviled eggs, green bean casserole, fruit salad... I love the left-overs :) Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels :)
