Tea Stands for Tuesday 5/14/19

Tea and roses.  What could be better?  Of course I'm going to join the great people at Elizabeth's place for Tuesday tea this morning.  Why don't you join me?

Earl Grey is my go to tea.  I also prefer loose tea.  A pretty cup never hurts either.

I've been looking at roses when I go out walking.  Isn't this a pretty pale pink?

Or maybe you prefer apricot.

I keep looking because I'm trying to learn to draw them.

Hope you see some roses today.

  1. What a pretty cup, Darla. I, too, love Earl Grey tea. My son and his family gave me a pretty pot planted with tea herbs which had a little infuser attached with a recipe for making a combination of herbs for tea. Lovely. The cat, who is usually well-behaved got UP ON THE TABLE attracted by something in the pot. I discouraged her and she took my advice and hasn't gotten up there again.

  2. I love your China cup Darla, my grandma would only drink out of a China cup.
Those roses are both lovely, the pink one looks like a frilly dress, I thought it was a fushia at first.
    Happy T Day

  5. That rose cup and saucer are so pretty and would be a wonderful set for the Earl Grey tea :) I'm not picky about my rose colors; they all look lovely to me. I prefer the ones with a strong scent :) Happy T Tuesday!

  10. Earl Grey is my favorite blend. I also like it with a bit of vanilla and some frothy cream, called a London Fog. Such a pretty tea cup and beautiful roses. Wonderful drawing, too.

  11. Such a beautiful cup to enjoy your Earl Grey. And those roses are stunning especially the pale pink. There is something very romantic about roses. But roses are really difficult to draw and paint.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  13. I also like Earl Gray tea. So glad you like it, too. It pairs well with that gorgeous cup and saucer.

The roses you find on your walks are beautiful, but my favorite is the one you drew by hand. Thanks for sharing your tea and your art with us for T this Tuesday.

SO sorry to be late, dear Darla. At least the basement is now dry and doesn't appear to have any mold, either.
