Here is a hat I recently finished. I am trying to use up some yarn I have left from other projects. Hats seem the easiest way to use bits and pieces.
There are so many books full of inspiration. Surely I'll find a suitable project. If you knit, tell me what you have on the needles.
While I ponder patterns, lets hop on over to Altered Book Lover and see what is happening at the tea party.
Finishing up a baby sweater and also have a pair of sox waiting to be finished.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, I love your hat! very pretty
ReplyDeleteI don't knit or crochet but I do like to weave-I have a shawl on the loom that I need to finish threading and get it ready to weave
Happy T wishes and Happy Thanksgiving
Love the hat. Wish I could knit but it just has never worked for me. I do crochet but the knitting (especially shawls and such) produces a much more refined look I think. Happy T day and a happy Thanksgiving too!
ReplyDeleteCute hat! I don't knit, but I love seeing your pieces! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteDecades ago I "learned" how to knit and made a little doll blanket. I've forgotten everything now lol That hat is so cute! Happy T Tuesday
ReplyDeleteThe hat that you knitted is amazing - I love it! I don't knit myself but I did treat myself to some handmade knitted mittens from a craft fair recently 😁. Happy knitting and sending you Happy T Day wishes too! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteYour hat is adorable. Just perfect for cold weather. I used to both knit and crochet, but I can no longer hold the crochet hook or the knitting needles without my hands going to sleep. However, I will gladly join you for T over tea and peruse those knitting books. Thanks for sharing your tea and knitting projects with us for T this Tuesday, dear Darla.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention to have a safe and happy Thanksgiving, too.
ReplyDeleteWow, your hat is amazing! I love knitting but I have never been courageous enough to try patterns. It looks much too difficult as I am not very good at following pattern charts.Looking forward to seeing what you decide to make.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
I haven't had anything on the needles in ages! But it does sound like a nice warm Winter activity, and with tea. Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteYour knitted hat looks really lovely, it will be so warm to wear.
ReplyDeleteI don't knit any more but love home knitted items.
Happy T day and Thanksgiving wishes for later in the week.
Yvonne xx
Very pretty hat and pretty patterns, Darla. I used to knit and crochet but, for some reason (arthritis), I really can't sit still long enough anymore ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving and T-day! Eileen xoxo
It sometimes takes longer to pick out what to knit than it is to actually knit it. Love the hat. I love to knit, especially when I am chatting or watching TV. Hope it was a great T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYes, I was a knitter. I have knitted from an early age and made my own jumpers and cardigans when I was younger. My 'piece de resistance' was a Stasky and Hutch jacket. I suppose you have to be of a certain age to know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteNowadays I knit socks and I am trying to learn to use the round needles in stead of 4 or 5 little ones, but it wasn't working out with the heel and I put it to one side, where it remains to date. Since then someone told me I should have started at the toe. Well that sounds even more complicated. I'll just have to sit down one day and find clear instruction. I have joined Winwick mums on Facebook and I will ask them but haven't got round to it.
Happy belated T-Day,
Lisca
Cute hat!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! :)
