We have been on a get away to the Southern part of California. With the wet winter we have had here at home we needed more sunshine and warm weather.
We stayed at the Oasis Resort in Palm Springs. A favorite place and one we have visited a number of times over the years.
We did get out and about a few mornings but lunch time found us sitting beside the pool everyday. Water, grapes, suntan lotion and a good book beside the pool. For me it doesn't get much better.
Here is the entry to our unit. You can see the pool is right outside our door.
Another view of our large two bedroom unit. Daughter and SIL were with us.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the area, Palm Springs,CA is in the desert and surrounded by mountains. It is about a two hour drive East of Los Angeles. This photo shows some of the desert landscaping the resort uses.
Now lets take our favorite drink and visit everyone at Elizabeth's Tea. I have lots of catching up to do.
what a lovely place to soak up the warmth and the sun. Nothing like a getaway to revitalize :) Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteThe palm trees, the palm trees. Have I mentioned my love affair with palm trees? What a beautiful place. I always like it when you visit Palm Springs, and this is a wonderful place to relax.

I've never been to CA and love seeing your photos. That resort looks fun, fruit and a book by the pool sounds great to me, and I love their landscaping.
ReplyDeleteHappy T Tuesday!
Oh, the weather and scenery look heavenly! Fantastic get away to be by the pool in the sun...as in Ohio I am getting very tired of leafless trees and rainy days! Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

ReplyDeleteI'm a little late for T Day but really liked your post today. I have always wanted to go to Palm Springs, and I get about the lack of sunshine. Glad you had a great trip-and hope it was a great T day. :) Erika

ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a lovely getaway. I agree, it doesn't get much better than that - relaxing by a pretty pool with a good book.
ReplyDeleteBelated happy T-day, Darla. Hugs, Eileen
And I am catching up on you after months of being buried at work...nice to be back!
ReplyDeleteI've been to Palm Springs some years ago - it was warm in the middle of winter. Your hotel looks like a lovely place, and the time spent there seemed to be very relaxing.
