We have rain here in the Bay Area this morning. We seem to always need rain so it is a good thing.
quick pen and ink sketch
I try to get out for my morning walk if the drops aren't coming down too hard or it isn't real windy.
I could use a new rain jacket or raincoat. Mine is old and is no longer very waterproof. I did think about spraying it with something like Scotch Guard. Anyone ever try that?

The wording on the mug is perfect for T Day and made me smile ...lol 😉. Your ink sketch is amazing, so beautifully drawn! I would try the Scotch Guard it should work, I use a brand called Nitwax that is a wash-in waterproofer which works really well. Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI've had Scotchgard Outdoor Water Shield work well for me. My last raincoat was a half-price find at the Goodwill store lol, so sometimes a "new" coat is cheaper ;) I tend to stay in when it rains and just enjoy the view from my window.

ReplyDeleteLove that mug! There really are so many good ones out there that are so tempting but I don't want to end up having my own shop with so many:):) We have used the Scotch Guard on our boots and some shoes and it worked well. Love your sketch- it would be a good stamp image too. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteScotch Guard was always our go-to when the boys were young and we had our mountain cabin.......they only way we could keep them dry when we had snow.

My sincere apologies. As your host, I knew I had to show up for T, but it took everything I had to climb out of bed. I am running a fever of 101.8 F (38.8 C). Your mug made me laugh as it sounds like my Eldest. Have never tried to Scotchguard anything. I got a Totes storm jacket from Blair.com Not very expensive and it is waterproof. Happy T Day

I don't know Scotchguard, but I have a spray that waterproofs stuff (tents, jackets etc). I like to buy jackets in a light colour, but as soon as you wash them, they are no longer water proof. Perhaps you get more joy at a camping website.
