I've been drinking this Stash tea lately. I like the flavor and the color is beautiful. I expect those of you who dye with tea would like too.
Meanwhile, I recently dropped into a thrift store to look through their selection of books. While wandering the aisles, I found these two dinner sized plates. I thought they were quite interesting and reasonable at $1.19 each.
I don't know this maker. I looked them up but couldn't find these particular plates. There was a platter with a similar pattern called "Mediterranean" though, perhaps these plates are part of that set. Meanwhile the dishes will be used to serve snacks. Cheese and crackers anyone?
I love stash tea but have not seen here where I am now-I should check their online store. The plates were a great fine and perfect to use. yes I love cheese and crackers (gluten free ones now)

I've never heard of Stash tea, and never had pomegranate, but I would love to find some loose leaf I could use for dyeing (grin).
ReplyDeleteThose plates are fabulous. I am truly impressed. They are not just beautiful, but colorful, too. What a great find.
Thanks for sharing your tea and thrift store plates with us for T this Tuesday, dear Darla.
I'm loving the sound of that tea and I bet the colour is amazing 😁. Your new plates are so beautiful and what a bargain too, I'm looking forward to joining you cheese and crackers too ...lol 😉. Happy T Day! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteI love that tea too! Those plates are wonderful!
ReplyDeletereally beautiful plates! and I suspect the tea is a pretty pink or maroon color....? thanks for sharing...happy T day!
ReplyDeleteMy tea-drinking friends love Stash tea, Darla. Your plates are lovely and I think you got a bargain. Enjoy using them!
ReplyDeleteI was curious and searched around. Nothing on I. Godinger & Co., but I'm guessing it was the forerunner of the Godinger Silver and dinnerware company of today. I only found I. Godinger pieces on eBay.
Since they're eBay links, which disappear fast, I hope you can get to these that I found (then delete them) from this reply. I. Godinger pieces are vintage like your Talavera-style plates.

Strawberry pomegranate is a favorite flavor of mine. I have tried many Stash teas and they are all very yummy. And those dinner plates would look lovely on my table. What a great buy!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
Your plates are a great find, and the price is so small! They are lovely Darla. The tea looks nice too, and even the packaging is pretty - I am sure you will find something to do with that too :))
ReplyDeleteThose are really pretty plates. I whole assorted collection would make nice dinnerware. I've been drinking strawberry tea myself, my brand is Tazo, but this one does sound good! Hope it was a great T day-got my eyes checked yesterday and with the dilation I couldn't read all night. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteVery pretty finds, Darla!
ReplyDeleteOh that tea sounds lovely. I've not come across Stash tea but it sure looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bargain those plates! We used to have stuff like that in Italy. Certainly the bottom plate looks like imitation maiolica. Very nice indeed. Yes, please, I'll join you for some cheese and crackers.
A very belated happy T-Day,
Lisca
