This morning I'm drinking orange juice. I have lots of orange juice but I don't have this set to drink my juice from. Wish I did. Isn't it pretty?
vintage Hazel Atlas juice set
You may have noticed a lot of citrus related posts here lately. That is because there are several citrus trees on the property at our new(ish) River House. This is our first winter there and we recently harvested these.
Oranges
Tangerines
And Lemons
As a bonus, one our our neighbors there gave us a whole bunch of avocados from his tree. Worth their weight in gold.
Now that you've had your Vitamin C lets head over to Elizabeth's blog and see what is happening at this week's Tea Party.
The juice set is fantastic, and I am really drooling at the sight of those freshly picked fruits, enjoy! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, how wonderful to harvest your own oranges, tangerines and lemons - I bet they taste amazing! Your neighbour is so kind to give you so many advocados too, they are so yummy :-). Thanks for my Vitamin C boost and wishing you a Happy T Day! J :-)
ReplyDeleteIt must be great to step out and pick your own citrus fruits, you cannot get fresher than that.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day.

WOW that is quite a haul of gorgeous citrus you have there.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thrill it must be to go out and pick it fresh off the trees. Super avocadoes too!
Thanks for the healthy dose of Vit C Darla.
Happy First T Day of 2017

That is a beautiful orange juice set. And how lucky you are to have those trees to enjoy all that delicious produce! Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to be able to just go outside and pick a citrus!
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a bounty you've harvested! How lovely to have citrus fruit right outside your door. We have a key lime tree but it's young and doesn't give much fruit yet. We tried orange trees, but the oranges reverted to a very sour variety after the first harvest. We think it was a hybrid.
ReplyDeleteThe vintage orange juice set is very pretty. Since it's vintage, I guess it would be pricey unless you found one at a yard sale.
Happy T Day and Happy New Year, Darla!
A typical California breakfast. I want an avocado right now, even though I should be focusing on the lemonade. Thanks for sharing this bounty with us for T this Tuesday. Wouldn't you simply LOVE to own that drink set? It's definitely a beauty.
ReplyDeleteoh wonderful...these citrus pics are so refreshing to me on a gray and foggy Ohio day! Happy T Day, and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWow! A brilliant amount of Vitamin C! I love avocados although hubby doesn't like the way I add it with a savoury spread to my toast for breakfast! Happy T Day Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing my first orange trees lining the streets in CA Darla... So pretty! Happy Happy T day! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty oj set and I think it is really cool to harvest those fruits. What will you do with them? Happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI love citrus. I wish we lived on a property where we could just pick them off the trees, ditto avocados!!
ReplyDeleteI'm always wowed by the idea of picking citrus from your own trees. Such a treat! That juice set is pretty. I had a juice set with a similar orange pattern, but I passed it on to one of the kids. It's fun to have dedicated glassware, but I just don't have room to store them. Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeletewow, what a pleasure this must be... citrus fruit from the own trees! will help you stay healthy through the winter:)
ReplyDeletehappy t-day!
One thing I like about this time of year in CA, besides it NOT being 110' out, is the citrus is ripe. I don't have any citrus trees in my yard, but there is an orange tree along my east fence and one along my west fence.........and one across the alley! Now if only avocados did well in this valley....LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove the juice set, I remember those for my childhood, but don't remember people really using the pitcher.....just the glasses.
Happy T-day
Oh wow! Love the variety of fresh fruit from the trees! How wonderful to get the avocados from the neighbor too!
ReplyDeleteHappy T day!
