I spent much of the time since we last got together knitting. That's my colorful knitting bag in the background. Water is the only drink I will let near my yarn and even then I'm cautious. The pink hat is what I've been working on.
My local LYS had a "knit-in". An afternoon when they offered the use of their classroom space for knitters to work on their pink hats.
Pink hats are showing up everywhere, pink yarn has been scarce lately. It was fun to spend time with other knitters talking about this and that while fingers flew and needles clicked.
For those of you who haven't heard, pink hats are being worn at the Women's March in D.C. and in local marches. I won't be marching, just wearing my pink hat when I go on my currently cold morning walks.
Maybe I'll wear it this morning while I go visit Elizabeth and the rest of the Tea Gang. Hope to see you there.
Love the idea of pink hats! Great to get together as a group too. Happy T day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeletePink Hats is a good idea and it is good that you can get together with folk who share the same knitting passtime.

ReplyDeleteI finished the two I was knitting for my DIL and Granddaughter who will be marching in the Seattle March. I think this is a good way to express concerns in a caring way.

Cute hat, and it will be warm for your morning walks.
ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to be in a group and have great fellowship.
Happy T-day
Your pink hat is adorable, Darla. By the time of the Women's March on DC, Trump will have been in office a mere day. I wonder what the then president will think when all these women ascend on Washington. Will he try to stop their march or will he allow it to be a peaceful march and demonstration? Let's hope for the best, but expect/anticipate the worst.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your water and pink hat with us for T this Tuesday.
Your pink hat is perfect and makes a great statement too Darla! Power to the People and here's to preserving Women's Rights too!!!

ReplyDeleteYes, a pussyhat!!! I've knitted four - for friends, my daughter and myself. One friend will actually go to the march in DC whereas my daughter and I will just go to the local one. Your pussyhat looks really nice! Aren't knitting groups fun? Back in November a knitting group was started in my neighborhood, and I enjoy going there. It's a good way to end the week on a Friday afternoon. Yes, pink yarn has been scarce here as well!
