Neighborhood Walk - 1/24/17

No CA had been getting lots of rain.  I think our area is officially out of the drought now although I don't think that's true of the Southern part of the State.

Because the sidewalks are littered with slippery leaves and small branches I decided to go out by the Bay for a walk.

Looking West:  There is a great long walk along the bay.  If the picture were bigger (or clearer) you would see the Golden Gate Bridge there where a gap appears in the distance.  The Bay looks dark and rough as I walk along.

Looking East:  My walk took be around to this cove and a view back over the Berkeley hills.  The waters here are always much calmer and there were lots of birds sitting on the rocks.

Rain again today but starting Wednesday we are in for a clear spell.

Hope you are staying dry and warm.

  1. What a lovely place to walk! I flew into San Francisco to head to Napa a few years ago. We rented a convertible to drive to Napa. Both ways on the bridge it was foggy, so we really didn't get to see much :-(

  2. Rain here again today...makes 5 days in a row, of a steady large down pours. Yes, we are out of the drought session now, and working on next year.....LOL!
Looks like you had a rather clear day for your walk...I see sun shine and blue sky. I didn't realize you lived so close to the bay.

  3. What a beautiful walk you had! It was warm and damp here yesterday and chilly and clear today. Who knows what tomorrow will bring lol.

  4. Now that looks like a great walk--love those views Darla.

  5. That grey water looks more like the North Atlantic than SF bay. I have a relative in N. Calif who is also getting lots of rain, doesn't want to complain but she is getting a bit tired of it I think! :)
