Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween.  I was looking through some posts from my old blog and found this.  It is a door hanger that I made for an exchange I was in.  The photo strip came from a box of  "mystery people" my cousin gave me.

I know not everyone celebrates this holiday but for me it also feels like the "official" end of fall and the beginning of winter.  The run up to the really big winter holidays.  When do you start making plans for those?

  1. I adore that wall hanging. It's a beauty.

It's been so hot here, I can't get my head around winter. Heck, I can't get my head around autumn, especially with temps in the high 80s F to low 90s F. Still waiting for autumn to arrive before I begin thinking about winter! Glad you are thinking about it, though. Happy Halloween.

  3. Trick-or-treat starts at 6:00 p.m. tonight.

What, you mean there are MORE holidays yet to come? ;-)

  4. I decorate for fall, but not Halloween. So my fall decorations stay up thru Thanksgiving. Then the Christmas goes up the day after Thanksgiving.

  5. Halloween is a highlight of the year for me, and I consider it the height of the fall season. I count Thanksgiving as a fall holiday, though, and our high today is supposed to be 87F! so it'll be a while before I think about it being wintertime.

  6. I love the colours of Fall in cooler climates and they look great in a Halloween setting. Your hanger is very original and attractive. While many people dress up and go treat or treating here, there is little in the way of decorating, because it is after all the beginning of Summer!
