DH baked a loaf of bread in the bread machine this morning. Machine made bread is admittedly not my favorite but, hey, he was willing to bake.
I'm getting ready to put the kettle on and make a pot of tea. By then the bread should be cool enough to cut. A cup of tea and a warm slice of bread sounds about right this morning.
Other members of the tea party gang may be up to more exciting things this morning. Why don't you join us over at Elizabeth's and find out what is going on?
Yummy, freshly baked bread for breakfast, sounds good. Glad you got some rain, I know how much you need it over there. Have a lovely T day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteYumm! The smell of freshly baked bread is all I need to jump out of bed in the morning! My breadmaker has a timer and I set it to be ready when I need to get up. (I am a bad riser in the morning, but for fresh bread I will get up)! What a wonderful husband you have!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some rain. We are not having any, but we could do with some. (We have a similar climate to southern California).
Happy T Day!

Hurrah for rain!
ReplyDeleteThe scent of baking bread is marvelous and the taste, yum!
Warm freshly baked bread is such a treat.
ReplyDeleteHurray on it raining in CA!
It is raining here in VA too, but that is the norm not the exception.
Hope you get a good soaking.
Seeing your pretty red kettle gets me in the mood for a cuppa too.
Happy T Day Darla oxo
Yay for CA rain! I'm sure every little bit can help, but I hope you get lots more. I have never had bread made in a machine, but I have heard the texture is not the same. Still, you have me yearning for the smell and taste of fresh baked bread! Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteTea and warm bread OOOoooo that does sound good for breakfast!!! Kudos to hubby!! Happy happy T day!! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteNothing better than a loaf of warm bread. My friend mixes up her dougs in the machine, then puts it in loaf pans and bakes it in the oven. It has a different look to it then - and a nice crumb.
ReplyDeleteFreshly baked bread sounds plenty exciting to me :) It looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteFresh baked bread........yummmm! It is ONE thing that can make me walk away from a diet....LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day
mmm I can just smell that homemade bread...I actually like some of the bread recipes I make with the machine-especially the herb ones. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteGood that I visit while here it is already late afternoon, because in the morning that photo of the fresh baked bread would have made my mouth water!
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day Darla!
hey, any kind of bread not bought at the store is a big plus for me. I love homemade bread! smells wonderful and tasted good too. love that colorful tea kettle! happy T day!
ReplyDeleteMy friend Sally has FIVE bread making machines and she says each does something a bit different. I have never seen one in action, but if it kneads for me, I would be up for it. This looks great and your sweetie is a real keeper.
ReplyDeleteLovely red tea kettle. Red seems to be the current kitchen color, so you are right in style. But I knew that about you already. Thanks for sharing your bread and tea with us for T this Tuesday.
Oh my! That bread looks yummy and I can imagine how good it smells! I had a bread maker as a gift from school when I retired and used to bake loads in it- haven't made so much lately! Happy T day! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThat bread looks so delicious Darla. I would find it irresistible. My sister has a bread machine, and if I have lunch with her, I always have two or three slices - soooo good. No wonder carbs are my downfall :(
ReplyDeleteIt's really good to hear you've had some rain. Warm, fresh-made bread sounds yummy to me. :)
ReplyDeleteFresh bread is hard to turn down. I've got some sourdough starter started...hopefully soon I'll be making my own sourdough bread...hubby loves the stuff!
ReplyDeleteFresh home baked bread is awesome, whether it is machine made or not!
ReplyDeleteS o late here.
ReplyDeleteRain. Finally. I wish I could blow our rain clouds in your direction, but impossible.
I remember that we had a bread machine in the early 1990´s. It worked only for a small/ brief time, but then no more. It was the most popular Xmas present at a time.Though the bread that came out, looked quite small in size, it was " full stuff ".
Nice to read that the machine still exists.
