I had the eggplant and mozzarella sandwich and DH had the salmon burger. I'm a fan of eggplant and they do their sandwich so well. Any other eggplant fans out there? You can see my drink was coffee and that's his ice tea in the background. We both enjoyed our meal a lot. My sandwich is on their standard menu but the salmon burger was on of the choices on their daily special board.

The Meal Ticket is a small place, only open for breakfast and lunch. It is owned by a husband and wife who both work there. The chef owner often brings a meal out himself and always chats with customers. It has a nice neighborhood feel to it. It has been featured on the food show "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives".
Time to visit Elizabeth's blog and see what the rest of the group has been up to. Won't you bring your drink of choice and join us?
Your food sounds great, I love eggplant and salmon! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteboth choices sound great to me, however eggplant no longer agrees with me (nightshade veggie)so I have had to give it up. Thanks for sharing your delicious lunch, and happy T day!
ReplyDeleteOooh, that sandwich looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm a BIG fan of eggplant. I even grew it one year and had it coming out of my ears. Your sandwich looks wonderful, as does your husband's salmon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the Meal Ticket, your sandwiches, and your coffee and tea with us for T this Tuesday.
Your eggplant (I wasn't sure what it was so my hubby came to my rescue as we call it aubergine here in the UK :-)) and mozzarella sandwich looks scrummy! It looks a friendly place to visit too! Wishing you happiness this T Day! J :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth lunches sound great!
ReplyDeleteI like eggplant, and that sandwich looks great! I've never seen such on a menu around here. I do enjoy local eateries (either single restaurants or the small local chains). Happy T Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming spot for a bit of lunch. I'm not in the same camp as you are about eggplant - it's about the only thing other than oysters that I don't care for. But I'd gladly join Wm. in having a salmon sandwich. Are you able to walk to The Meal Ticket?
ReplyDeleteThat menu looks like there are many great choices...it would be hard to decide.
ReplyDeleteBoth sounds fantastic hard to decide -
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day!

I'am not a fan of eggplant...lol ... my grandparents had a huge garden and they grew eggplants... I spent every summer vacation with them growing up... they often had fried eggplant but Grandma always made me something different that day...

Happy happy tday! Hugs! deb
I am also a fan of eggplant and your sandwich looks delicious! I love it mixed in the stuffing for the holidays, my hubby's aunt used to make it for us every year.....really miss that. I might just give it a go this year.

ReplyDeleteThat meal looks really nice! I had a good look at the menu and decided what I would have had I been there. I chose the asparagus, tomato and brie.

I love a good eggplant-so your sandwich looks yummy! We have a little breakfast lunch place near us and I love going there for breakfast (especially). You get the best food there often. Happy T day. Erika
ReplyDeleteThat does look good. I enjoy eggplant too, but could never resist a Salmon Burger - Yum! We like this type of eating out too, not too expensive and better for the waistline than a huge dinner.
