Monday Morning

Good Morning!  Once again I was away without internet connection for awhile.  I really have to figure out how to use Blogger from my phone.

Meanwhile, I'm happy to report that things are getting in shape at the River House.  We have all the basics covered and now it is time to add those fun things that make a house a home.

Pioneer Woman cookware

My daughter and her husband recently spent several days the the river.  She was just in time to get the last of the peaches and wanted to make a cobbler.  Searching through the cupboards she found we only had foil pans for that sort of thing.  She used one but wasn't thrilled about it, LOL!

They returned to spend a day while we were there and she brought these casserole dishes.  Aren't they pretty?  They are a great addition to our thrifted colorful china collection (although they are new not thrifted). My daughter is a big Pioneer Woman fan and said she couldn't resist these.  Her next cobbler with be served in a pretty pan!

Now we need to think of more things that need to cook in this sort of dish just so we can use them  What would you put in them?  Do you watch the Pioneer Woman shows?

  1. Love the dishes. Yes, I watch the Pioneer Woman show every so often - until I get dimple overload. You could easily do lasagna in these. Glad things are getting fitted out so you can just go there and enjoy yourselves.

  4. Those are beautiful! I just use plain pyrex casserole dishes. I've never heard of the Pioneer Woman show. I'll have to google it and see what I'm missing.

  5. I think these dishes are gorgeous. They will go nicely with the beauty that you are looking for in your home.

Years ago I heard about the Pioneer Woman through her blog. One of the then Tea participants was talking about the Pioneer Woman's blog and how she was hoping to someday have as many readers. I don't think she even has a blog anymore (the tea participant).

Not sure how, but I caught one tv show when I was at someone's home one day. Lots of fattening food, so I can see why everyone would love it.
