Tea Stands for Tuesday - 8/16/16

Most of you know I walk every morning.  I recently did my usual 4th St. route and stopped by PEETS for a pound of coffee.

They were giving away samples of Green Leaf Tropical tea.  I brought these home and tried them.   Unfortunately I was underwhelmed.  I have other green tea I like better.

There are a few benches along the shopping area.  I like to sit and people watch for a few minutes.   A local free newspaper comes out once a week so I pick that up too.  This week we are warned about earthquakes.  Again.  Old news to anyone who has lived in the area for awhile.

Signs of fall seem to be showing up already.

We don't get huge seasonal changes here.  It could be I'm just looking forward to fall.  I'm ready though, are you?

Time to take our drink and visit The Altered Book Lover's blog for our Tuesday get together.  I'll actually be away from the computer so I'm hoping Elizabeth will once again be kind enough to link me up.  I don't want to miss the party.

  1. I am looking forward to autumn, too - it is always my fave season. Sorry you didn't like the new tea so much, but I am sure the coffee was good. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  2. I am not ready for summer to be over, but would enjoy some not so hot weather. We have been in the 90's all summer and I would love some 80's.

  3. I'm totally ready for summer to be over - we have had such horrible hot and humid weather, and didn't have rain for weeks, and now it has been five days of rain (which is good).
    Love the flowers!!!

  4. I've had Mighty Leaf tea but not that blend. I'll take your word for it and skip that one.

We've had a day filled with gray skies and gentle rain here, so it does feel like fall is coming. I'm holding onto summer as long as I can. I love the fall and seasonal changes, but I'm not ready for summer to end. I love it when you see lovely beds like that in public places :)

  6. My sidebar is NOT updating blogs. I had no idea you had posted until this morning. I apologize because I didn't see it, so obviously I didn't link you.

We don't get Peet's here and I've never seen this brand of tea, either.

I have no idea if I'm ready for autumn, but I AM ready for temps that are not 105 F or higher. If I don't do my outside chores early in the morning (like by 6 am), it's often too hot to do much after that.

Although I may like your weather better than mine, I'm not sure I could take your seasons: mudslides, forest fires, and floods.

Thanks for sharing your green tea experience with us for T this week, and again, I apologize that I didn't link you.

  7. I think there's a LOT of people ready for fall this year. Even summer lovers--LOL! ;)

  8. I didn't think it was possible to warn for earthquakes, but if they are improving prediction then this surely has to be good news! (I hope there aren't any, though!)
