Good morning everyone. Today is a double header over at Elizabeth's place. Tea Tuesday and A Second on the Second. She has two posts up.
I chose a tea related post from the past. I am thinking of making a few of these simple tea bag holders with a Valentines Day theme.
SEPTEMBER 02, 2014
T stands for Tuesday 9/2/14
This morning I'm drinking my usual coffee but I'll be having some tea in the afternoon.
I thought I'd show you a little paper tea bag holder. I've made variations of this holder several times. In this instance I used a recycled file folder for the cup and glued on some dots punched with a regular hole punch. Then I added a bow from some ribbon scraps and tied on a tiny tea spoon that I found among my odds and ends.
This makes a fun presentation for tea. A cute little something to put in with a card or just give as a little surprise gift.

Slip a tea bag in the cup and it is ready to go.
Speaking of "GO", lets all head on over to the Altered Book Lover blog and see what our host Elizabeth has in store for us on this T Tuesday.
I very much like this simple yet thoughtful idea!
ReplyDeleteLove your tea bag holders, what a wonderful idea for a gift. Have a lovely T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThis is always a fun post, because I am always inspired by how you make this tea bag holder. After all, everything except the tea is recycled, and that always makes me feel good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this second look, because I can no longer access your "old" blog for inspiration. And thanks for joining in for T this Tuesday, too. A fun two-fer (and an even better gift)!
I'm glad you re-posted this, because I don't remember it and it's such a good idea. My favorite Tazo tea was Om, which was discontinued. I can't remember if I've tried Zen. I'll have to check it out :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute, and I can vision it all decorated for Valentine's Day. Good use of a recycled file folder too.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day and thank for the visit and comment.
This is such an excellent idea! It makes me think how little we appreciate the everyday things, and that this is a great way to put focus on and celebrate that precious cup of tea every day. Thank you, and Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteI love your sweet tea bag holders along with that darling tiny spoon. Happy T day!

The tea bag holder is fun! I like the tiny spoon that is hanging from it. I'm not a tea drinker myself, but this would be cute for my daughter who loves tea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute holder for a t bag. I bet someone was feeling very lucky to receive it.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a sweet little gift idea. Recycled file folders are the best for making things.
ReplyDeleteYour tea cup tea bag holder is darling and that itty bitty spoon is the perfect touch!

ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! :)
Hello Darla, I saw you over at Patricia's blog, Red Cardinal. I thought I'd comment on this post, as I love tea time so much. The tea bag holder you made is cute, and that would be a nice gift for someone. You know, my best friend's name is Darla too.
ReplyDeleteMe and my daughters also have a blog, and we would love it if you would visit us and follow. It's nice to meet new friends. We live in northern California too. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.
