Tea Stands for Tuesday -3/21/23

We all know the best time to drink our tea is on Tuesday.  However, here are some further instructions in case you need them

I'm writing on the day of the Spring Equinox.  I'm so ready for spring.  Poppies are favorites of mine.  I draw or paint them fairly often.  Here are some poppies to celebrate spring.

oi pastels, ink, mixed media paper

I have been working on various ways to create my own blank sketch books,   At  the same time I want the books to be made using recycled materials as much as possible.  I have lots to learn.  Have any of you created your own blank books?

Hoping everyone is enjoying the changing of the seasons no matter which hemisphere you are in.

Thanks again to Elizabeth for hosting this Tuesday event.  You can find out about Tuesday Tea and much more on her blog AlteredBookLover.

  1. Your poppies are beautiful, Darla. I love them as well, and in the spring and early summer they flower in abundance in my garden.

  2. That's a great tea chart. I'm glad to read fruit tea is great in the evening. I like it then because it fills my sweet tooth without all the calories. And that's a beautiful drawing too. Happy spring to you and happy T day too. hugs-Erika

  7. I love your poppies. They are not as popular here as they are in CA, so seeing them in your painting made me smile. I learned a lot about what tea to drink and when. For me, I need the caffeine 24/7 (grin). Thanks for sharing this Tea poster and your fabulous poppies with us for T this Tuesday, dear Darla.

I have made quite a few books. They are listed under Visual Journals on my blog.

  13. Years ago I went to a book making class at Letters of Joy (annual gathering of calligraphers - no longer happening). There are a couple of books that are good resources. I'll see if I can find the one I bought and let you know its title. Loved your poppies, Darla.
