Man Socks - (knitting)

One more gift from my holiday knitting projects is finished.  I'm calling them Man Socks since they are for a size 13 shoe.  Most women couldn't wear them.

When I chose the gray yarn I thought it might be a little boring to knit with but in fact I think it shows off the stitches better than some of the brighter colors I have used in the past.

I have one more knitted gift to put the finishing touches on and I'm done.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping?

  1. Congratulations for finishing - or almost finishing - your Christmas presents. I think handmade gifts are the very best because you are giving of your time as well as money. These socks look great and I bet they will be comfortable to wear.

  3. Lovely, Darla. I know they'll be appreciated. Still knitting on a pair of socks - but they go fast in worsted weight (what do they call that weight now?)

  5. Wow, those socks look so perfect Darla. You really are a wonderful knitter, and lucky people who will receive your knitted Christmas gifts. I have only really starting the shopping today - both at the Mall and online. I spent the whole day at it!

  6. The socks look great and I am impressed that you are getting so much done! I'm still working on a poncho for DD and hope to have it finished when she comes for the weekend of Dec 19.

  7. Considering all you have been through this past year, I think this is a monumental task that you finished beautifully. Glad all that's left are a few finishing touches to one final gift.

All my art is finished, and I'm quite happy to say I'm finished because I've made everything this year.

  8. They look great!!! I like that you use a pattern AND a stockinette stitch - it looks really good. As Christmas presents I still knit a pair of women socks, headband and a hat. Luckily they don't have to be done by Christmas since I will meet the recipients at the beginning of January. I also got a custom order for another fox scarf in - so I'm busy with my knitting needles!
