Tea Stands for Tuesday 4/16/19

I've been at the river house quite a bit lately.  Pushing spring.  It is pushing back.  After some sun, it rained today.

I have a number of ideas for creative things I'd like to do.  Some are just sparks of thought but others have more of a plan in place.  I decided I'd better write myself some notes.  Nothing like a cup of tea to get me in the mood.

A friend who is an artist came to visit.  She harvested the last of our oranges, I was happy to share.  The day was beautiful and we were
able to sit on the levee and discuss plans for making art.  She's lovely and colorful herself.

Speaking of colorful.  I once said "never!" to these shoes.  Never, never, never.  I finally gave in and bought a pair.  They are perfect for mucking around outside.  They are surprisingly comfortable.

That's me caught up.  Get on over to Elizabeth's blog and catch up with the rest of the group that gathers there.

  1. Love the toe nails, I'm never quite brave enough for bright colours.
I used to have some of those crocs for outdoors but they made my feet ache although I've seen some with furry inners!
    Have a happy T day

  3. It sure is looking like spring here. I always said never to crocs too-and still don't have them but my neighbor (who does much heavy gardening) swears by them. Pretty color you chose. Happy T day!

  4. Your teapot looks a lovely colour and you have a lovely view to sit and make your notes. The crocs are a lovely colour and look comfy. but not for me . My hubby has them for the garden and thinks they are great.
    Happy T day wishes.

  9. Lovely photos full of color (and tea). We've had our fair share of rain here in the Northeast US, and it keeps getting cool, after a day or two of warmth. But my Daffodils are blooming, so that's a nice Spring sight. And I like your colorful shoes. Happy T-Day!

  11. Your teapot is beautiful! I love to take notes on ideas and make lists. Your friend has a lovely dress and bag that yells ARTSY to me. What a great idea for gardening. I may have to get myself a pair of crocs.

  12. Yes, spring does stir the juices of activity, doesn't it? I also dragged my feet about Crocs but got a pair to take to camp (for swimming in Hood canal which has stones and barnacles) and found them so lightweight that I also wear them in the garden. I'm curious...what have you done with the yellow box? Spring has popped out everywhere here. The woods have greened up, the daffs are almost done and now the lumeria (?) money plants have pretty purple flowers which turn to silver dollars in the fall. Lovely to spend a day with your friend as I did with mine yesterday, too.

  13. Oh I swear by my Crocs. The real ones I mean. They don't make your feet sweat and they are light and comfortable. I have been wearing them for years. I also have a fur-lined pair for winter.
It must be lovely weather over your way as your friend is wearing sandals. Even here in southern Spain, it's not sandal weather just yet.
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Hugs,

  14. So very sorry I'm late visiting this week, Darla. I love that teapot, and it is MY color, too.

Speaking of color, I love the color in the citrus. I take it that's your friend who has all that color, too. Great photo, though, so I wonder if it is a photo of you.

My friend Kathy as several pairs of Crocs. She swears by them and wears them a LOT. She says they are the most comfortable shoes she has ever bought.

Thanks for sharing your tea and your colorful post with us for T this week, dear Darla. Again, sorry I'm late visiting.

  15. What fun shoes Darla, bright turquoise! I have never worn them either, but if they are as comfy as you say, I might give it a try. Love your friend's green nail polish, very arty and pretty. Happy Easter, and enjoy life on the river.
