Tea Stands for Tuesday - 12/11/18

Happy Tuesday to my friends at the Altered Book Lover blog. We're into winter here - although out winters are mild compared to many. Winter for me is basically an excuse to stay inside, drink tea and read as many books as I can.  I'm drinking some Irish Breakfast Tea this morning.

This novel is a dose of "feel good"  There are interesting characters. There is a bit of enchantment, some might call it a modern day fairy tale but don't be put off by that.  The story contains tragic loss, the necessary bad guy and the unique loving relationships that prevail.

Perfect winter read.

Now if you have a book recommendation please let me know.

  2. Irish breakfast tea is a good morning tea. I haven't had any in years, but I remember enjoying it.

Right now I'm re-reading Ender's Game. It's been about 8 years since I read it last, and I wanted to refresh my memory. It is as good as I remember :)

    Happy T Tuesday!

  6. Happy winter and I do love hot teas and cocoa during the colder days. I loved the quote and thanks for book reference.
Right now I am reading the Outlander books and also Peggy Henderson's Yellowstone time travel last book in the series-so far very exciting.

  7. I can't say I've ever had Irish breakfast tea, just English breakfast tea. I LOVE that quote, though.

I wish I had time to read more, but this month has been slammed with art and trying to get my sewing machine fixed and my tip-ins and cards made. When I get a free moment, I'll see of I can recommend a work of fiction. Thanks for sharing your book, that quote and tea with us for T this Tuesday.

  8. I've not heard about Irish breakfast tea either, but I would join you with a cuppa. A warm drink and a good book sounds good to me as well on a cold winters day.
    Happy T day wishes.

  9. That sounds like the perfect way to spend winter. It's cold enough here that I will throw in the woodstove and a warm blazing fire, but other than that, give e a big cup of tea and a good book too. Happy T day Darla. Hugs-Erika

  10. I prefer English breakfast tea as I find the Irish breakfast tea a bit too robust for me. Great quote no matter which blend of tea you prefer. Happy T Day

  11. The perfect way to spend the winter!! I love reading and drinking tea so I feel as though we have a lot in common. What a wonderful quote by C.S. Lewis. I love his writings. I will have to check out this book.

  13. A lovely and very true quote from C.S.Lewis. I love this writer. I have read a few of his books. Mere Christianity was the first one I read, and then I read Four Loves. I can't remember what I read after that. I had to leave all my books behind when we moved to Spain.
I am reading an English translation of a Spanish book called (in English) All This I Will Give You. I am about to finish it and will write something about it on Tuesday. It is the best book I have read for a long time.
I haven't heard of Harry's Trees, but will look out for it.
    Belated happy T-Day,
    Lisca

I want to read Harry's Trees, Darla. I've heard such wonderful reports. I hope the Kindle price will come down.
