Tea Stands for Tuesday 10/30/18

Good morning.  As we gather for tea at Elizabeth's this morning, I so wish it could be in person.  Do you ever feel that way?

Mighty Leaf Tea
Chamomile Citrus

Sorry for the rather blurry picture.  Most of you know I get my coffee at Peets but did you know I also like their tea selection?  On my last visit I brought home their Chamomile Citrus tea in the loose leaf version.  That's what I'm having this morning.  You can also get their tea in teabags of course.

Butternut Squash and Kale

This was dinner last night.  I don't watch much television but I do like a few of the cooking shows.  The recipe for this comes from The Pioneer Woman Cooks show.  Easy and tastes like Autumn. Are there any other fans of her show out there?  It probably isn't available outside the U.S. but I'm not sure.

Hope everyone who celebrates is ready for a Happy and Safe Halloween tomorrow.

  3. I never thought to look into Peet's teas, only ever buy the coffee. Love the squash and kale combo-it makes a yummy meal or side! My recipe comes from Wegman's-the grocery store I do most of my shopping in. I have watched that cooking show a few times but I'm not a fan of her mostly meaty and heavy foods. But I do enjoy watching many other cooking shows on PBS. happy T day!

  4. Yes, I watch her show sometimes. I made a butternut squash soup the other day for my SIL who is just home from the hospital. It was delicious and she liked it - the day was dreary and cold so it must have hit the spot. Will have to give your meal a try next time I get a butternut squawsh.

  7. My daughter and I watch cooking shows (we call them food porn) over Skype. She's a fan of Chopped and Alton Brown. I love Pioneer Woman my elderly neighbor used to call her the Cowboy Lady. I have the same Blue Willow ware pattern. Happy T Day.

  8. All the time, I wish we could have tea together! Wouldn't it be great?
I had only heard of Pioneer Woman last year for the first time! Where have I been? Love the recipes. She is on TV? I have to look for her. We have occasionally watched the food channel, but didn't notice her on there. Happy Tea Day!

  9. Yes it would be lovely if we could gather together, I'm sure we would be able to talk for hours.
I have also seen a few of the TV programs on our Food network channel but its usually in the mornings and there is a lot of repeats.
Happy T day wishes, your meal looked delicious.

  10. Yes, it would really be nice for all of the T-ladies to meet for real, Darla. An impossibility for sure given we span an ocean and several countries. I think that's rather exciting in its own way. I'm learning so much from our attendees and enjoy our friendly back-and-forth.

I love butternut squash but can't get it here.

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  11. I wish we could visit and enjoy drinks together. It would make it so much fun. Once I make my first million (TEE HEE), I'll fly everyone in and we'll share a drink together.

Ree Drummond got her big break back when she was a power blogger. She got her show based on her blog's success. There's hope for us, yet (grin). Thanks for sharing your food and your tea with us for T this Tuesday, although I am NOT a fan of chamomile tea, no matter how you try to dress it up.

  12. It would be quite a fun T party if we could all get together. How cool would that be. Tht tea choice sounds good. And so does your dinner. Well your dinner looks good rather than sounds good. Hope it was a wonderful day. Hugs-Erika

  13. Your tea sounds yummy! I love a good citrus flavor although I only like chamomile when I need calming. Your dinner looks delicious and healthy. I didn't know pioneer woman had a cooking show. We don't have food network so unfortunately I don't get to see many popular cooking shows unless it is on PBS.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  16. That meal looks yummy. I like kale and I like butternut squash. I do know Pioneer Woman. Twenty years ago I used to follow her blog when she had just started (2006) because I liked her step by step photos and all the stories of her life on the ranch with 'Marlboro man'. Her children were still small then and she would write about their shananigans. I have never seen her on tv though. In fact I don't know what she looks like.
    Have a lovely belated T-Day,
    Lisca
