Good Morning my friends. It has been awhile since my last visit and it feels good to be able to join you for Tuesday Tea once again.
Although I'm drinking my morning cup of coffee at the moment, it will be tea for me the rest of the day. I'm "seriously" exploring herbals. Experimenting with Chamomile or Valerian root teas as an aide to sleep. Anyone have experience with those or other suggestions?
I'm looking forward to reading all the Tea Tuesday posts, I've missed everyone. Many thanks to Elizabeth for keeping our Tea Party going in 2016.
Enjoy your tea(s), hope you find some that really do you good. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI find Chamomile tea very relaxing. I have never tried Valerian tea.
ReplyDeleteThe digital art game me a smile this morning! I have heard chamomile tea is very calming but really haven't tried any.
ReplyDeleteThe herringbone stitch really is easy and the yarns stay attached so changing colors is not really that hard. You carry the previous row's strand across the row as you crochet the next row, draw up the loop as you chain for the next row and you are ready to go. Hope that is understandable.
Darla is baaaack!!! i have not tried either one of those teas! I hope you will post back about your experiences! Happy happy Tday! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I have not tried either of those teas. I love Lady Grey...
ReplyDeletelove that card Darla! I like a big variety of herbal teas-it just depends on my mood. Personally I don't care for really fruity teas but other than that chamomile is a fave and so is Tulsi tea. Just depends on your taste. Happy T day and welcome back!
ReplyDelete"Very seriously" = Love that Darla!
ReplyDeleteI lean heavily toward Organic teas.
Some good brands are Traditional Medicinals (they sell a box called Relaxation Sampler that is nice), Yogi Tea, Numi Tea and Tulsi Tea.
So happy to see you back to T!
Happy Day to you oxo
not much experiences with tea for sleeping actually (i sleep well so far)... but i had to laugh about "very seriously" also!
ReplyDeletehappy t-day to you!
I may not take my tea seriously, but don't stand between me and that first cup of coffee.....LOL
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Kido!
I have to agree with Krisha. I'm also delighted you are back and am sorry I missed yesterday's return to blogland.
ReplyDeleteI tried to grow chamomile one year from a plant I got at my nursery. I actually wanted it for dyeing fabric, but it never grew enough to give me anything. BTW, I am NOT a fan of the taste of chamomile. You may have my share any day.
Again, welcome back dear Darla. You have truly been missed. And thanks for sharing that fun filled card with us for T this Tuesday. Good luck finding a good herbal tea. I haven't found one I'm in love with yet, although I have a hyacinth I could live with.
I love that tea quote... and yes, I take my tea very seriously! Like you I have one cup of coffee mid morning but the rest of the day it is tea... tea and more tea... Happy T Tuesday to you! Annette
ReplyDeleteI have tried chamomile, but not valerian root. I find the chamomile relaxing but the only thing that helps me sleep is melatonin. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs. Happy T-Day! :)
Good luck finding a suitable tea! I am persevering with the one I bought! Love those ladies! Happy T day! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI love that image! And i totally agree. I take tea seriously too. I have a large box wit all sorts of herbal teas. Yes, chamomile is good for night time. I have one with chamomile and fennel as I don't like the taste of chamomile (I don't take sugar). Of course you can put honey in it. Valerian is calming. It calms the nerves.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week,
Lisca
Love the tea art! chamomile is quite a nice herbal tea, though I can't really say it helped me sleep. a good book usually helps with that! happy T day!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a tea drinker myself, but when I feel lousy (bad stomach etc.) I usually drink chamomile tea. It's soothing and calming.
ReplyDelete"seriously, very seriously". I love that lol.
ReplyDeleteI like the Celestial Seasonings "Sleepytime" tea. Soothing :)
Do you have Pukka tea there? I like their 3 ginger tea.
ReplyDeleteTea with milk is so good too!Have you tried it?I am not a tea drinker myself.I prefer coffee but I love chammomile and some others although I drink coffee like any Brazilian does.Well right now I can't drink anything.Lovely post!Happy belated T Day, dear!
ReplyDeleteOh, this vintage picture is too cute, I love it! I drink chamomile at night sometimes, and green tea during the day. Green tea has lots of health benefits as well. But I love my coffee in the morning like you. :)
